The River of Life Shambhala Meditation Group meets weekly at the River of Life Center in Fort Washington, PA, to practice sitting meditation. We practice mindfulness/ awareness meditation - basic sitting meditation. This simple technique is easy to understand and practice, and is a powerful tool to understand and work with mind. If you’re ready to be kind to yourself, join us. Sit in a chair, close your eyes and be in the stillness. We meet the second Saturday morning each month to explore the nature of the personality and the nature of being itself. With awareness as a tool we study the mind-body process as well as the experience of stillness. As is traditional for mindfulness meditation teachings, there is no fee for the teacher.
